The final issue of this series begins in post-Revolution Mexico where war-weary townspeople begin a return to normal life, but old tensions between church and government create new conflict and violence. Though Evarista, Consuelo and Tichi have found a relatively safe new life in the hacienda of a distant relative, it is not without hardship and stress. Just as their situation takes a turn for the worst, a letter arrives and the little family will never be the same.
